NBA Fans had plenty to say after a clip of Draymond Green made the rounds on social media, and it did not take long for the comments to turn heated.

The clip, shared by @LegionHoops, showed Green saying that playing on Christmas Day “fu**ing” sucks. That single line was enough to spark a wider debate about money, effort, and what comes with being one of the league’s highest-paid players.

Draymond says playing on Christmas Day ‘fu**ing’ sucks 😳

“Number 1, it can affect your mood. Number 2, we are human beings and enjoy Christmas Day with our families… No one works on Christmas Day.”

For many NBA Fans, the reaction was not about the holiday itself but about perspective. Christmas games are one of the league’s biggest stages, watched by millions. To some, hearing a veteran complain about it felt out of touch.

That tone came through clearly in a reply from @AlwaysKnocking, who wrote, “NBA players will do anything for more money. (GETS MORE MONEY) Playing on Christmas sucks; no one works on Christmas. Yeah, none of us make $25,000,000 to average like 6 points a game and work when we want.”

The comment quickly gained traction among NBA Fans who echoed the same idea. Many pointed out that most people work through holidays for far less pay and with no spotlight attached. In their view, the complaint landed poorly because Christmas games are not mandatory for everyday workers, but they are part of the job for top-tier athletes.

Others tried to balance the discussion by reminding fans that one player does not speak for everyone.

Ron Harper’s unverified X account, @HARPER04_5, added, “It’s a honor to play on Christmas Day games for must players don’t let one bad apple [apple emoji] speak for others…”

That response resonated with NBA Fans who see Christmas games as a reward rather than a burden.

The situation shows how quickly opinions can shift online. The issue isn’t just about playing on a holiday, but about how comments sound when stacked against salary, workload, and public expectations. For NBA Fans, that contrast is hard to ignore.

NBA Fans Pile On As Draymond Green’s On-Court Antics Fuel More Backlash

NBA Fans were already debating Draymond Green’s comments about Christmas games when another clip added fuel to the fire.

This time, it came from @NetsMuse, who posted a video of Green shouting toward the stands after making a free throw. The caption quoted Green telling an 89-year-old Nets superfan, Mr. Whammy, to “Sit your old ass down,” followed by the word “Disgusting.”

That clip spread fast, and NBA Fans wasted no time reacting. For many, it reinforced a pattern they believe has followed Green for years.

@Spongeknowsball summed up that frustration with a blunt take, writing, “Draymond try not the be the most hated player in the NBA challenge level impossible.”

The reaction was not one-sided, though. Some NBA Fans pushed back against how the clip was framed. @canthold30 responded by saying, “Cut out the part where draymond was laughing abt it yall are actually weird.”

That comment suggested the moment may have been edited to make it look worse than it was, a point that comes up often when short clips go viral.

Still, the overall tone from NBA Fans leaned negative. Many connected this moment with past incidents and recent comments, arguing that it adds to an image problem Green cannot seem to shake. Others said trash talk is part of the game, but there is a line when it comes to fans, especially elderly ones.

For NBA Fans, the conversation has moved beyond one play or one quote. It has become about behavior, image, and whether accountability should come with experience and status. As these clips circulate, the backlash shows no sign of slowing down.
