Thanksgiving usually brings good vibes across the league, but Nikola Jokic wasn’t exactly in a holiday spirit. A clip of the Denver Nuggets star getting hit with a Thanksgiving question has taken over social media, and NBA fans have been having a field day with it.
In the viral moment, a reporter asked Jokic,
“What are a couple things you’re thankful for.” The Joker froze, frowned, and let out a simple, “Oh my God,” clearly thrown off by the small talk.

NBA fans didn’t waste the opportunity to drop their jokes.
One said, “This man does not care about an American holiday.”
Another added, “That’s a man who hates his job. Time to do horseback riding full time.”
A third wrote, “Jokic is us at thanksgiving dinner attempting to answer third cousins small talk.”
Even if he skipped the question, Jokic has plenty going his way. Denver sits third in the West at 13-4, and he’s once again putting up an MVP-type season.
“Mastery never announces itself”: NBA fans in awe after another Nikola Jokic special vs. Memphis
The laid-back personality hasn’t changed, but Jokic’s dominance has been impossible to ignore to start the 2025-26 campaign. After the Nuggets’ 125-115 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, he locked in his 10th triple-double of the season, casually rolling through another night of elite production.

Fans jumped online with more praise for the Serbian star.

Another said, “Man doesn’t even break a sweat and still cooks everyone.”
A third added, “Just another day in the office for him.”
Through 17 games, Jokic is pacing Denver with averages of 29.6 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 11.1 assists. He’s also putting up 27.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 9.0 assists in the NBA Cup. For a three-time MVP who’s making the game look this easy again, a fourth trophy isn’t out of the question.
