Karl-Anthony Towns went viral after his proposal to Jordyn Woods. The player decided to take his relationship to the next level after five years of dating. While he did go viral for his proposal, some NBA fans took the chance to crack homophobic jokes at him.
Towns and his fiancée took to social media to share images of the proposal. Many NBA fans congratulated the player, but one X account by the name “Hater Report” made a collage of Towns proposing and wrote “Not Gay” on the image.
Following this, a huge number of NBA fans dropped hilarious comments to troll the player. Here are some reactions from X.

“He can be gay and get married,” wrote one fan.

“nah I know a few gay people who got married to the opposite sex and who also have kids just to convince others that they’re straight KAT ain’t fooling nobody,” wrote one fan.
Towns also received a few responses supporting him. While the image was just for trolls, it’s clear that some fans got offended.

“Lmao he can still be that. Getting married to a woman does not deter that(double exclamation mark),” added another fan.
“He’s made his beard Instagram official, hurray!!” one fan chipped in.
Towns is having a strong run with his team after securing the second spot in their conference. While there’s a long way to go, the playoffs are surely coming their way. Recently, he talked about the NBA All-Star format, stating that he would want to be a part of the World Team.
“One, I hope I make it,” Towns said. “And two, I hope I’m on the World Team.”
The new NBA All-Star format was revealed by the league Commissioner and there are expected to be three teams participating in a short tournament.
