When everyone wished Jayson Tatum a speedy recovery, not a single NBA fans thought it would be this speedy.
Barely four months after an ACL rupture, which we can tell you now hurts more than you know, Tatum just released a clip that showed the Boston Celtics baller already doing solo drills, lifting weights and doing moves that a recent ACL rupture patient shouldn’t be doing.

The rapid progress has left NBA fans and analysts alike stunned. The clip was featured on @LegionHoops on X with the caption,
“Jayson Tatum is back hooping already. What in the world.”

Within the thread, @Pearnivore thought that the healing factor was that of a mutant and replied,
“What in the stem cell wolverine stack steroid,” adding emphasis on how this is too quick a recovery for the normal man.
@Justin_The_Mind just puts high praise on the state-of-the-art medicine remarking,
“Modern medicine just reached GOD MODE or this hitta now has a bionic Achilles, there is no in between.”

The clip didn’t come with a date or a declaration of a return, but the crowds are showing a bit of joy seeing that the recovery is going well. Going really well. Whether preseason, mid-season, or sometime during the season, NBA fans are hoping it won’t be next season. They’re not even over the fact that he’s moving again.
Jayson Tatum has gotten the attention of the NBA fans. Now we wait if he gets the attention of the coach.
Jayson Tatum Wants Back In, NBA Fans Think ‘Too Soon’
If the miraculous speedy, freakishly superhuman recovery hasn’t stunned you yet, get this: Jayson Tatum wants back on the action. And the NBA fans think it’s too soon.
NBA Central’s official X broke the news,
“Jayson Tatum has informed the Celtics he wants to play this season,” reflecting the growing optimism surrounding his recovery.

Not all reactions have been positive. As @TheDonMatador warned,
“rushing back so his leg can completely fall off the bone,” expressing concern over the potential risks of returning too soon.
@ns6yo added a bit of fun in the thread showing a gif of Superman’s cape being pulled back by Apokolips with the caption,
“Tatum trying to check in during the pre season game tomorrow” laughing at the potential team reaction of pulling him back from joining the preseason.
The crowd is split, and more are on the side of taking care of their team’s asset than rushing to get the glory. But despite that, it ultimately falls on Jayson Tatum if he’s willing to risk carrying a glass ACL which might never recover, or strengthen it through competitive recovery. Only time will tell.
