NBA fans were buzzing after prices for the Houston Rockets’ road game against the Cleveland Cavaliers dropped to an unreal low. TickPick listed the get-in rate at just $7, giving people a dirt-cheap way to watch Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell square off — a deal so wild it practically begged for jokes.
Even with the bargain price, NBA fans knew it wasn’t going to be courtside luxury.

One fan wrote, “$7 to watch KD and Spida is crazy. That’s cheaper than the popcorn that’s gonna spill on my shoes.”

Another joked, “You cannot really see at that price. You need binoculars.”
A third added, “relax that’s the get in price.. you pay 7 dollars you not even gonna see the court kd or don as high as you’ll be.”
Despite the humor, the matchup delivered plenty of action. Kevin Durant and the Rockets controlled the night and secured a 114-104 win — inside an arena that confusingly carries their name but sits hundreds of miles from Houston in Cleveland, Ohio.
“Congrats cuz you do both”: NBA fans mock Kevin Durant’s leadership comments
Even with his on-court impact still undeniable, NBA fans continue to question Kevin Durant’s leadership style. Teaming with Alperen Sengun has given Houston a strong one-two punch, but the conversation around Durant’s leadership resurfaced after his sit-down with Yahoo Sports’ Kelly Iko.

Asked about how he’s grown as a leader, Durant kept his answer straightforward.
“More than anything, I always wanted to be a guy that does sht instead off says sht,” Durant said.
His confidence didn’t stop fans from taking aim.
One replied, “Well congrats cuz you do both.”

Another wrote, “From a guy who spends 20 hours of his life every day on Twitter.”
A third couldn’t resist, adding, “A guy that ‘does sh*t’… bro the only thing you’ve done consistently is relocate.”
Still, Durant’s production continues to silence at least some of the noise. Now in his 18th NBA season, he’s putting up strong numbers and proving he can still anchor an offense. Over his last 13 games, Durant is averaging 25.5 points on 49.6% shooting, along with 4.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 0.9 steals per game — hardly the stat line of a player slowing down.
