It’s been a week since the Knicks’ NBA Cup win over the Spurs, but NBA fans haven’t stopped talking about Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart’s wild celebrations.
On The Roommates Show, Hart was asked why he stuck a finger up Brunson’s behind during the trophy presentation. His answers only fueled the jokes.
First: “It was an accident.”
Then, after Brunson pressed him, Hart claimed he was reaching for the trophy.

Finally, he admitted: “My intrusive thoughts won.” He even tried to blame AI manipulation, but NBA fans weren’t buying it.

@MegaDrive3 knew it’s not getting any better for Hart, and had a bit of a joke, saying, “He just keeps digging the hole deeper and deeper. Pause.”
And @LobTies believe they gave Josh something to think about: “Let’s imagine this was like an intervention they were holding for Josh cause of this.”
The moment itself — Hart caught putting his thumb up Brunson’s behind — left Brunson stunned in front of the cameras.
“These two need to be watched”: NBA fans poke fun at Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart’s post-match presser
The antics didn’t stop there.
In the post‑match presser, Hart made another headline comment about Brunson: “Inch for inch, I think he’s probably the best.” The line drew laughs from the press and Brunson himself.

NBA fans piled on.

@MrRunon joked, “Between these 2 and KAT, the Knicks might be the gayest team of all time.”
And @CryptoG simply said, “At least they are having fun.”
All jokes aside, Brunson and Hart have been central to the Knicks’ success. Their NBA Cup victory and 26th Christmas Day win — the most in league history — prove the duo’s chemistry goes beyond laughs.
