NBA Fans still couldn’t move on from Monday’s heated fight between Jalen Duren and Moussa Diabate, and now, a viral clip on X/Twitter gave more context on the rivalry between the two. After all, the clip revealed how Duren and Diabate had been already getting at it since high school.
The clip made NBA Fans realize that the recent brawl wasn’t just a brawl, but just the culmination of years of rivalry, as user @fullcardsweep wrote, “Years in the making for Duren & Diabate….”
However, the user made sure to add a bit of hilarity on the Duren-Diabate strife, adding, “MINUTES in the making for Beef Stew HAHA [eye emoji].”
In reference, Beef Stew, the nickname for the Pistons’ Isaiah Stewart, never hesitated backing Duren up by joining in the brawl against Diabate. While NBA Fans find Stewart’s antics funny, this didn’t distract them from continuing to weigh in on the history between Duren and Diabate.

“Damn Duren’s been kicking his a** for years [skull emoji],” one user wrote.
“Moussa has always been jealous of him, getting mogged and cortisol spiking any time Duren is nearby,” one user remarked.
“Duren been busting his a** for YEARS,” one user wrote.
“Hated each other” and it’s just duren dominating him [crying emoji],” one user posted.
This time, NBA Fans saw how Diabate unfortunately lost the battle, at least, on how the Hornets-Pistons game went down. While he was ejected by the officials in the fourth quarter, the Hornets were unable to secure the W against Duren’s team. The NBA then suspended Diabate for four games, two more than Duren’s, which, for NBA Fans, is a bit too far, seeing the punishments as proof that the league has become soft.
However, only time will tell whether the Diabate-Duren issue will last, and given how their recent fight escalated, it’s clear that a truce is not a topic for both players.

NBA Fans throw shade at Duren for rivalry with Diabate
On the other hand, NBA Fans decided to choose sides in Monday’s fight between Diabate and Duren, and some never needed a minute to defend Diabate’s actions.
User @DetroitDeadpool mentioned how Duren has always dominated Diabate for years, writing, “He’s been bully balling this poor guy since the Capri-Sun days.”
Meanwhile, user @3pmonyana noticed a tweak in Diabate’s response in the clip, commenting, “Diabate didn’t even say anything.”

Whether Diabate has fought back on Duren’s aggressions or the other way around, their rivalry will remain a conversation amongst many NBA Fans, especially as both of them are now in the big games.
