NBA fans blasted Golden State Warriors veteran star Jimmy Butler over his recent remarks towards an opposing player.

Over at social media platform X, NBA fans called out Jimmy Butler for his recent remarks towards Brooklyn Nets forward Danny Wolf during one of their recent games. In a video, Butler can be seen shouting “white boy” repeatedly towards Wolf after making a shot on him.

For some fans, the situation would not go as unnoticed had it been Wolf who shouted “black boy” towards Butler.

““BLACK BOY’,” one fan wrote in their comment. “Could you imagine.”

Another fan echoed the sentiment, as they reiterated that the public uproar would be huge had it been Wolf who called Butler “black boy.”

“But if Danny Wolf called Jimmy Butler “’black boy,’ a riot would commence,” they said.

Another fan, on the other hand, directed the call-out to the NBA leadership itself, and challenged them to apply the same standards that would apply had a white person made a similar remark.

“@NBA bet y’all won’t do shit about this though or fine him but if it was the other way he’d get banned,” the fan said. “Myers Leonard got blacklisted.”

After losing an overtime game to the Toronto Raptors, the Golden State Warriors bounced back with a comfortable 120 to 107 win against the Brooklyn Nets in the second half of a back-to-back road trip.

Despite falling behind early in the first quarter by 13 points, the Bay Area team scored a lot of points in the second quarter to earn a lead at the halftime break before going into the fourth quarter with a small margin and pushing ahead down in the last few minutes of the game..

NBA Fans Blast Double Standards Over Jimmy Butler “White Boy” Remark

Over at X, NBA fans blasted the double standards on Jimmy Butler, calling out race, versus the expected reaction had the situation been reversed and Butler was on the other side. For one fan, the double standard is clear.

“So if the white said something to Jimmy likes doing the whole world would be crying but it’s okay for Jimmy to say it,” one fan said.

For another fan, the remark proved ot only double standards but also that Butler was unfunny.

“Not only should there not be double standards, does he actually think he’s being funny?” the fan said.

Right now, NBA fans are looking closely at the Warriors, as they stand in eighth place in the Western Conference.
