Anthony Davis barely had time to settle back in after his emotional return to Los Angeles before trouble found him again — and NBA fans wasted no time piling on the Dallas Mavericks star.
In Tuesday’s matchup with the Denver Nuggets, Davis appeared to jam or tweak a finger on one of the sequences, enough to make Mavs fans nervous for a moment. For everyone else online, though, it was open season.

One fan wrote, “AD should stand for always damaged at this point.”

Another added, “What’d he do to piss off the basketball gods.”
A third said, “Bro just got back this game and got injured again? AD can’t beat his Anthony Day to Davis allegations.”

Even with the scare, Davis pushed through, logged 32 minutes, and helped Dallas grab a 131–121 win — their second straight on the road. The timing couldn’t be better as the Mavs head back to the American Airlines Center for a meeting with the Miami Heat on Wednesday.
“AD is a monster”: NBA fans shift gears after Anthony Davis’ big night in Denver
Whatever pain he was dealing with, Davis didn’t let it take over the night. His performance — and the win — changed the tone around him quickly.

In those 32 minutes, Davis put up 32 points and 13 boards, leading the Mavericks in scoring and setting the tone against the defending champs. Fans who spent the first half of the night clowning him were suddenly giving credit where it was due.
One said, “AD is a monster when he’s on it. Watching him bust ass tonight was a lot of fun.”

Another wrote, “Every time this man hears his name in trade talks, his final form activates.”
A third added, “Healthy AD is a top 2 big man in the league.”
His second outing since returning from injury showed plenty of upside — but, as always with Davis, the question lingers: is this the start of a real run, or another stretch waiting to be interrupted by something fragile?
