Josh Giddey’s first stretch with the Chicago Bulls has been nothing short of impressive. The guy’s been hooping — fast, confident, and running the floor like he’s been here for years. But no matter how good he looks, NBA fans can’t seem to move on from his old controversy.
In the Bulls’ 126–113 win over the Sacramento Kings, Giddey nearly notched a triple-double again — 20 points, 12 assists, and 8 boards. That makes it three straight double-double nights and another reminder he’s fitting nicely in Chicago’s system.

Still, social media was quick to turn the highlight reel into a roast session.
One fan wrote, “Going to celebrate with his girlfriend after she leaves her grade school dance.”

Another posted, “Josh Diddy all star szn.”
And someone else added, “he know not to go under 18 anymore.”
The digs trace back to November 2023, when Giddey was investigated for allegedly having a relationship with an underage girl while he was 19. The case didn’t lead to any charges due to a lack of evidence, but it clearly hasn’t left the minds of NBA Twitter.

Trolls aside, a big chunk of the fanbase is hyped about what Giddey’s doing on the court. Chicago’s off to a 4–0 start, and the Aussie guard has become one of their most reliable playmakers early on.

One fan said, “In a years time that 4 year deal is going to look like one of the best contracts in the league.”

Another commented, “giddey’s been on a tear lately with those stats.”
And a third joked, “And his hair stayed perfectly upright the entire time.”
So far, it’s clear Giddey’s doing his part. Whether fans ever stop bringing up his past — that’s another story. But for now, he’s letting the numbers speak for themselves.
