NBA fans hilariously defended Josh Hart after Kenyon Martin called out his antics toward Jalen Brunson during the Knicks’ NBA Cup celebration on Wednesday.
On the Neat and Unfiltered podcast, Martin criticized Hart for sticking his finger on Brunson’s behind as the team lifted the trophy. “If that’s what I had to do to become a champion, I’m glad I’m not,” Martin said.
Hart, however, found unexpected support online.

@1uppTopk argued, “Kenyon Martin got Chinese letters tattooed on him he can’t call anyone gay.”

@CarverJermar joked, “IMAGINE WHUT HE’LL DO FOR THE REAL TROPHY.”
And @MarksSincere added, “Lol Hart plays like the white boy side of him..”
The Knicks earned their 124-113 victory over the San Antonio Spurs behind strong performances from Hart, Brunson, and OG Anunoby. Brunson scored 25, Hart added 11, and Anunoby led the way with 28 points, securing New York’s first major title since 1999.
“You can’t be doing this on the main stage”: NBA fans scold Josh Hart for goofy celebrations after winning the NBA Cup
There may be NBA fans that are defending Josh Hart for his celebratory antics, but a lot of them thought it wasn’t the appropriate action as they received their trophy.

@postmetaX scolded Hart and said, “Bruh you cant be doin this on the main stage.”

@Queenxrypt even provided a more disgusting take, saying, “Wait..he sniffed his thumb after.”
However, @kenny83 couldn’t blame Hart for following his intrusive thoughts: “saw the opportunity and took it.”
Hart and Brunson combined for 36 points with Hart scoring 11 while Brunson had 25. Their connection as well as the strength of OG Anunoby, who put up 28 points against the Spurs, were enough to give the Knicks their first major title since 1999.
