As James Harden exits Los Angeles following his trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers, NBA fans quickly shifted their focus — and Kevin Durant ended up catching the blowback.
Shortly after news of the trade surfaced, Rockets Talk Podcast host Roosh shared his thoughts on Harden’s legacy on X.
“If James Harden never ends up winning a ring, he’ll go down with the nastiest, most empty legacy of any NBA superstar ever,” said Roosh. “I’m not even mad at it. But this is exactly why Ime didn’t want to bring him to Houston, and this is why I’m so thankful the Rockets went with Fred instead.”
The comment didn’t sit well with Durant, who has a long history with Harden dating back to their Oklahoma City days.
“Who the f**ks wants to know what Roosh thinks at a time like this?” replied KD.
Instead of backing Durant, NBA fans piled on.
@FT_Merchant05 joked, “Yo KD why don’t u go on Misfits Boxing and fight these Twitter trolls I’d pay to watch honestly.”

@rexybombom added, “well that was unnecessary lmao roosh is one of the best rockets analyst i know.”
@CambazFutbol pointed out, “Why u having a go at Roosh?? The only thing he did all season is praise u. He is allowed to have an opinion.”
ESPN reported Harden’s trade to the Cavaliers is agreed upon, though final approval could come Wednesday when Cleveland travels to Inglewood to face the Clippers. According to The Associated Press, the deal includes Darius Garland and a second-round pick.
“He doesn’t take rest days unless he is seriously injured”: NBA fans debate on Kevin Durant being rested for the Playoffs
While Harden’s move dominated the timeline, NBA fans also debated Durant’s availability as the postseason approaches.
With five games remaining before the All-Star break, Durant missed Houston’s 118–114 win over the Indiana Pacers on Monday due to a left ankle sprain suffered after stepping on a fan’s foot.
The timing raised concern with the Rockets currently sitting fourth in the Western Conference and positioning themselves for a playoff run.

Rockets Hall of Famer Ralph Sampson believes rest should be the priority.
“They are playing for the playoffs now, not just the regular season. The Rockets have a good team for a while, but down the stretch, they need to rest KD as much as possible so he’s fresh,” said Sampson.
Some NBA fans disagreed.
@t4dnguyen replied, “@KDTrey5 is a hooper. He doesn’t take rest days unless he is seriously injured. Basketball is life for guys like him and Harden. Very few players like this nowadays.”
Others suggested a compromise.
@XMDawoodX said, “Rockets should rest him against below-average teams.”
After the All-Star break, Houston still has 27 games before the playoffs. For NBA fans, how the Rockets manage Durant’s health could matter just as much as any trade deadline move.
