“Next Time You Take Matters Into Your Own Hands Make Sure It’s Lotion Is Crazy”: NBA Fans Go Crazy As Kevin Durant Gets Lotion Endorsement After ‘Ashy’ Leg Skin Criticism

Kevin Durant has found another way to not only outsmart his haters but also to gain plenty of attention from NBA fans.

This week, KD turned jokes about his appearance into an actual sponsorship. Only him. After fans spent time pointing out that his legs looked dry, the 15-time All-Star announced a new deal with CeraVe. That was the response.

Instead of dodging the comments, Durant leaned straight into them. In the video, he’s replying directly to tweets, tossing out quick one-liners with the same dry humor fans are used to. It felt intentional. It usually does with him.

NBA fans, of course, ran with it.

@Killa11211 added, “my man getting paid off of being ashy and laughing at yal at the same damn time.”

And @dannybennett didn’t overthink it, saying, “KD wins the internet every single day he signs in.”

Ashy legs or not, this is kind of Durant’s thing now. He doesn’t ignore the jokes. He doesn’t get defensive. He just flips them. Sometimes quickly. Sometimes quietly. Either way, it usually works.

“Durable scoring is just wild”: NBA fans react to Dirk Nowitzki congratulating Kevin Durant after career milestone

About a week ago, KD was focused on something else entirely. A game against the New Orleans Pelicans, and a number he was about to pass.

Durant finished that night with 18 points, enough to move him past Dirk Nowitzki into sixth place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. It wasn’t flashy. It just happened, the way a lot of Durant’s milestones do.

About a week ago, Durant was locked in on something else entirely. A game against the New Orleans Pelicans, and a number sitting just ahead of him.

By the end of the night, KD had 18 points — enough to move him past Dirk Nowitzki into sixth place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. It didn’t feel dramatic. It just happened. Those moments tend to sneak up with him.

After the game, Nowitzki shared his respect.

“One of the purest, smoothest scorers the game has ever seen,” said Nowitzki.

    Fans didn’t need much time.

@H_Nhung96 said, “durable scoring like that is just wild.”

@LilEverhart added, “A beautiful show of respect from one legend to another.”

And @cleoholt summed it up, “Legends recognize legends. Buckets respect buckets.”

Between turning jokes into sponsorships and quietly climbing the scoring list, KD keeps doing what he’s always done. Staying in the conversation, whether people want him there or not.
