NBA fans gave their honest insights and reactions to new reports that floated retired star kevin Garnett as one of the personalities involved in alleged illicit gambling activities in the league.
A recent report linked Garnett to the controversial playoffs poker games. However, Garnett himself denied involvement in such activities, and said that he initially thought the alleged poker games were simply afterparties.

One fan referenced an old movie, and linked it to what Garnett is facing right now.
“Uncut Gems was a documentary,” the fan said.
However, another fan seemed to have not gotten the reference, and questioned how it could link to Garnett and the ordeal he is facing at the moment.
“Did y’all even watch the movie?” they asked.
“Uncut Gems” is a 2019 film that starred Adam Sandler. In the film, protagonist Howard Ratner who attempted to have a huge pay day out of a rare piece of jewelry, but got his life turned around due to spiraling debts from loan sharks, gambling debts, and the like.
Along the way, Ratner’s addiction corrodes personal relationships: he lies to family and friends, ignores repeated warnings from people who care about him, and leans on dangerous lenders to fund increasingly reckless moves.
Newer reports that expanded on the federal investigation into alleged gambling and game-rigging activities now lists former NBA star Kevin Garnett among figures tied to high-stakes card games. Investigators say these games were used to manipulate bets and move millions of dollars, intensifying scrutiny on how organized crime may have intersected with the professional basketball circle.
Garnett’s name has arisen in connection to a larger sting that has already implicated current and former NBA players and coaches, and reflects all that has been revealed about elaborate cheating methods and illegal betting networks that authorities discovered. Garnett stated that he has not been reached out to by the DOJ at this time.
