NBA fans are buzzing after Kon Knueppel announced himself as the league’s newest gunslinger.
Even in Charlotte’s 139-132 loss to Cleveland on Monday, the rookie stole the spotlight. He became the fastest player in NBA history to reach 100 made threes.
The comparisons came quick.

Knueppel hit the milestone in just 29 games, breaking Lauri Markkanen’s mark of 41. Keegan Murray and Luka Doncic needed 42, Brandon Miller 43.

The fourth overall pick in the 2025 Draft is backing it up with numbers. 19.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists per game. Shooting 47.4% from the field, 41.4% from deep.
Cooper Flagg is close behind at 18.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists. But right now, NBA fans see Knueppel as the frontrunner — and the hottest rookie shooter in town.
