NBA fans reacted to the rumor that the Los Angeles Lakers may be interested in trading for Miami Heat star Andrew Wiggins.

Over at X, NBA fans expressed their honest reaction to the news that the Lakers may be interested in acquiring Wiggins from the Heat, something fans think the Lakers cannot afford.

“What they gonna offer Bronny and a PlayStation?” one fan said. “Short of Luka, there’s not a single valuable player on that team or draft picks worth anything.”

Another fan, on the other hand, suggested that the franchise not leak their “plans” in the future.

“The Lakers should NEVER leak their plans to anybody,” they said. “Somebody teach the new owners about the ‘Laker Tax’ quick please.”

Recent reports suggested that the Los Angeles Lakers have shown interest in acquiring Miami Heat forward Andrew Wiggins and are expected to monitor his availability as the trade deadline approaches. The inquiry, first reported by NBA insider Jake Fischer, places Wiggins among the wings the Lakers view as potential upgrades to their roster as they evaluate depth options for a title push.

The one-time All-Star and 2022 NBA champion is valued for his 3-and-D skill set and ability to create his own shot, traits that make him an attractive complement to the Lakers’ core stars.

The team’s front office is weighing wing depth as a priority, with Wiggins identified as a player who could fit alongside Doncic, James and Austin Reaves if he becomes available.

NBA Fans Want Luka Doncic for Wiggins

Over at X, NBA fans weigh in on the rumor that the Lakers are eyeing Heat star Andrew Wiggins for a trade deal. While fans are not against the idea, they highlighted that they would only allow it under one condition.

“Lakers, you have nothing,” one fan said. “Absolutely 0 assets. Nobody wants your garbage ass bs y’all offer. The only asset you have is Austin Reaves. That’s it. If he’s not in it, you’re not getting anything from anybody. Please understand that.”

With that said, the only fair trade fans can accept is Luka Doncic.

“He’s untouchable unless y’all throwing in Luka,” one fan said.

“Lakers trading for Wiggins? Heat fans be like: ‘Give us Luka or we riot!’” another one said.

As the trade deadline draws closer, NBA fans are excited to see how their favorite franchises will make a move.
