NBA Fans aren’t surprised anymore when the LA Lakers shipped Gabe Vincent away to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Luke Kennard and a second-round pick on Thursday. While Fans have hoped for Vincent to find a new home in the previous days, they couldn’t help but point to a culprit who made this happen: LeBron James.
Fans immediately mentioned James after X/Twitter page @LakeShowYo shared a clip of LBJ huddling the Lakers roster pre-Knicks game on Sunday. In the clip, Vincent was looking away from James, seemingly not listening to The King’s words at all. For many NBA Fans, this was the trigger point.
However, NBA Fans like user @SlabDrips remain disappointed on the influence James is having on the Lakers, writing, “Behind his back… can’t wait for LeFlop to leave my Lakers. How do we go from Kobe to this guy man. He’s no Laker.”

Being compared to one of the Lakers’ best players is something different, after all.
NBA Fans at this point believe that the Vincent trade wouldn’t even happen if James hadn’t noticed his act.
“LeBron James knows it all,” one user wrote.
“Knew? He just made it official that was the greenlight [laughing emojis],” one user remarked.
“Gave Linka the LeNod,” one user posted, referring to the Lakers GM, Rob Pelinka.
“he [James] so lame. i see why russ dont fw him. he fake af like he said,” one user wrote.

NBA Fans since the last season have threw shade on Vincent many times, bringing up just how nearly of a pushover he is on the Lakers. Multiple games, zero points. That’s how the Fans have saw Vincent throughout his stay in Los Angeles.
However, despite the NBA Fans’ wishes of sending the veteran guard away, no moves had happened. And as the viral clip had proved, it only took James’ being insulted in Vincent’s actions until he got sent away by the Lakers.
NBA Fans poke fun at Vincent’s bold move against James
Despite NBA Fans throwing barbs at how James’ influence in the Lakers made the Vincent trade happen, they didn’t shy away from also lobbing barbs at Vincent, finding his actions in the clip hilarious.

User @RareBonkers believe Vincent does hold a grudge against James or the entire team, writing, “He legit talking behind his back. damn.”
Meanwhile, user @groovyyyj doesn’t like NBA Fans who defend Vincent at all, commenting, “Imagine defending bum ass Vincent lmfao losers hang with losers I guess [laughing emoji].”
Vincent being traded away from the Lakers sent a clear message to the NBA Fans: crossing James is nearly a suicide move, but playing suboptimal only makes things worse.
