NBA fans are split over Klay Thompson’s relationship with Megan Thee Stallion after a clip of the rapper dancing went viral online.
The video showed Megan confidently dancing and twerking in front of the camera, paired with a caption that read: “Klay really gets to come home to her. Is Klay the luckiest man in the NBA?” That alone was enough to spark a full-blown debate.
Some fans saw it as a win for the four-time NBA champion. Others weren’t so convinced.

@El_pistoler092 brought up Megan’s past, saying, “Yall acting like we didn’t all see her sextape.”

@Glitchymagic took the opposite view and praised Thompson: “Klay’s got the rings AND the right perspective. He’s living the California dream!”
Meanwhile, @BGizzle463 dismissed the idea entirely, replying, “Nope..she been passed around.”
Despite the back-and-forth, Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion appear unbothered. Since going public with their relationship in mid-2025, the two have been spotted together at events, red carpets, and even celebrating Thanksgiving with Megan cooking for Klay’s family.
“Try harder”: NBA fans shut down cheating rumors involving Klay Thompson
As if the debate wasn’t enough, NBA fans also had to deal with fresh cheating rumors tied to Thompson — and they weren’t buying it.

A post from @WriteARapSis claimed Klay was caught spending New Year’s Eve with his ex-girlfriend, Imaan Hammam, using a photo and a screenshot showing Thompson still following her online.
Fans quickly poked holes in the story.
@seetylerrun shut it down immediately: “that’s an old picture…try harder.”

@JJustalkhoops added, “Once again…yall are doing waaaaay too much do you not have a life of your own? Lol.”
And @ThubelaKamo expressed frustration with the rumors: “Do y’all never get tired of creating these fake stories. your fav is already going through a lot focus on that.”
For now, Thompson seems focused on basketball and enjoying life off the court, while fans continue to argue over a relationship that, by all appearances, isn’t anywhere near falling apart.
