Michael Jordan had NBA fans cracking up again after a new story surfaced about how casually he handled a pricey move for his NASCAR team. Huddle Up’s Joe Pompliano revealed that Jordan barely blinked at the cost of adding a new driver to 23XI Racing, even tossing a playful shot at his financial advisor while giving the green light.
“I have lost that in a casino. Let’s do it,” said Jordan.

Fans knew that kind of line was coming from him, and the reactions piled up fast.
@bzrkartonline jumped right in: “That’s that billionaire money talking.”
@hypurr2537 followed with a comparison everyone immediately understood: “40m to him is like $40 to us.”
And @biscuitjawn_ highlighted the energy that still surrounds Jordan wherever he goes: “No one will ever have this level of aura again. That’s why he’s the GOAT.”
The timing of the clip made things even funnier, considering 23XI Racing — teamed up with Front Row Motorsports — had just climbed out of a lengthy legal fight with NASCAR.
“Interesting to see how the Jordan effect impacts even legal battles”: NBA fans celebrate MJ after NASCAR settlement
NASCAR reached a settlement with Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing Team and Bob Jenkins’ Front Row Motorsports on Thursday, ending the antitrust lawsuit that had the sport buzzing. After eight days in court, the final outcome granted permanent charters to all 36 teams.

NBA fans treated the resolution like another win in Jordan’s long line of victories, even outside basketball.
@Glitchymagic pointed to the broader impact and the unique weight Jordan carries: “Interesting to see how the Jordan effect impacts even legal battles in NASCAR. Wonder if this changes the team landscape going forward.”

@BEANIE was on the same page and looked toward what comes next: “Huge move NASCAR settling with teams like MJ’s shows how serious this antitrust fight really was. This could reshape how power and money flow in the sport. Big changes incoming.”
And @crosbyt123 finished it off with a simple, familiar punchline: “The GOAT wins again.”
Whether it’s on a racetrack, in a courtroom, or anywhere in between, Jordan somehow keeps finding new ways to stack W’s.
