NBA fans everywhere are taking the opportunity to mock Adam Silver and the NBA commissioner recently announced that parents can soon turn off betting ads through some new technology. Silver’s words came after the FBI announced that several players and coaches had been arrested in late for illegal gambling.

“If you don’t want anything to do with sports betting, if you have a youngster in your home and you don’t want them to see those fields, it could be password-protected. Click, click, all those fields are gone, and you don’t have to experience any sports betting ads or any announcer commenting on probabilities.” Adam Silver recently said.

While many definitely commended Silvers’ announcement, other fans had a humorous take on the whole matter. Some even felt that this new technology should first be applied on the players themselves before the public.
“They need this technology for their own players” one fan commented.
“He better hurry up and block his own players from seeing them” another fan echoed.
“Im an adult and i don’t want to see them. When we watch bball, My daughter asks what these ads are for and i have to say its for sick people. This is just as bad as cigarette ads, if not worse. They have fueled a gambling culture among youth.” a fan pointed out.
NBA Fans Also Pointed Out How Bad Adam Silver Is At His Job
Meanwhile, other NBA fans simply commented that Adam Silver is simply being bad at his job and that sports betting should have become a part of basketball culture in the first place. Illegal sports betting has not only encouraged this habit among young users, but has also rigged many games according to many fans.

“Adam Silver has David Stern rolling in his grave and regretting handing him the keys. Silver gives no sh*ts about the sport. He’s a finance guy. He’s not operating from the perspective of preserving the sports. He sees his job as squeezing out every dollar possible from the league regardless of future implications. Prove me wrong.” one fan called out Adam Silver.

“Does he know there are kids using their parents’ cc and their info to place bets on the apps?” one fan said.
“Oh yeah. That totally works. Kids haven’t been getting around blocked content since the dawn of the internet” another fan added.

Illegal gambling has become a major problem in the NBA with the FBI also arresting a number of players and coaches for this recently. As per reports, players from four different teams have been arrested for this.
