NBA fans are reacting to Victor Wembanyama’s post-game press conference after losing to the Knicks in the NBA Cup. Wembanyama only allowed one question as he was freshly grieving the loss of his grandmother.
Wembanyama did actually seem pretty rattled from the defeat at the hands of the Knicks, and went on to admit that he and his team were preparing for the more important championship games. Fans have been trolling Wembanyama, especially for all the remarks he has made against many other teams in the past.

“I guess this is the best practice for important games because we, of course, our focus is already on the playoffs. The playoffs are going to be the biggest time of the year. So I guess it’s good that we get this experience today.” Victor Wembanyama said.

“He deserves to be clowned on for all that sh*t talking. Should’ve stayed more humble. Karma sure came quick.” One fan mocked.
“Bro really sad that ‘They don’t play a brand of basketball as sophisticated as the Miami Heat or the Thunder,’ (skull emoji) Guess he overcomplicated it in the end,” another fan said.
“Bro you are 8’ tall, no reason Mitchell Robinson should out rebound you…other than rotation.” One more fan said.
NBA Fans Call For Sympathy With Victor Wembanyama’s Grandma’s Passing
Meanwhile, many NBA fans reminded everyone that Victor Wembanyama had just lost his grandmother on the morning of the NBA Cup Finals, which made him pretty emotional during and after the game. Wemby addressed the press conference in tears and told reporters that he had just lost somebody and allowed only one question.

“Victor Wembanyama learned Tuesday morning that his grandmother passed away, @JaredWeissNBA. Prayers up to the Wembanyama family. (folded hands emoji)” one fan said, sharing a video of Wemby tearing up at the beginning of the press conference.
“Learning your grandmother passed before the game isn’t a moment to laugh about…f***ing heartless trolls,” one more fan echoed.
“Oh yes cause someone close to him died and he still put up numbers in limited numbers lol u a clown account. Paid to get verified but don’t know ball haha (laughing with tightly closed eyes emoji) trash,” another fan added.
While Wemby and the Spurs may have been pretty upset with the win, the other side was surely rejoicing. The Knicks managed to win their first trophy in more than fifty years, making many NY fans grin.
