NBA fans did not hold back when it was reported recently that LeBron James would not be able to play in the season-opener as a result of sciatica. The Lakers will be kicking off their new season without their legend on the court. The team has also not given an exact date as to when James will be playing his first game of the upcoming season.
Fans are already upset at seeing James miss the first two games of the preseason so far. It is not exactly known what caused the nerve injury, but the four-time NBA champion is expected to undergo a re-assessment in about three to four weeks.
Ever since news of James’ sciatica came to light, social media has been flooded with a mixture of reactions from fans. While many sympathized with the player, others did not hesitate to troll him for the injury.

Many NBA Fans Are Happy That LeBron James Is Injured
While the majority of NBA fans reacted with disappointment in learning about LeBron James’ sciatica, others showed a different set of reactions. Some were actually happy about the injury since it would mean less time for James on the court, while others felt that the Lakers might simply trade him off altogether.

It looks like fans and haters alike will have to wait for a few more weeks until LeBron James undergoes his reevaluation. As of now, Lakers fans will have to watch their team’s season-opener without the legendary player leading the offense.
