Myles Turner had a night he’d probably like to forget, but NBA fans — and even Detroit’s own broadcast crew — made sure it didn’t slip by quietly. During Milwaukee’s loss to the Pistons, Turner managed just one rebound in 25 minutes, a number so low for a 6’11’’ center that the commentators couldn’t help pointing it out on air. That was all fans needed to launch a fresh wave of jokes online.

Pistons commentators frying Myles Turner 😭
“Myles Turner has a grand total of 1 rebound”
“How tall is he?”
“Tall enough… 6’11” pic.twitter.com/tLwsZS9vjD

One fan said, “Being 6’11” and only having 1 rebound in the entire game is diabolical son.”
Another added, “Extra funny when you look and his matchup had 16 rebounds.”
A third wrote, “Keep frying him all these so called big men not playing like bigs is not working. Drop the Legos ! Just got all this height on the court for nothing.”
Turner has taken plenty of heat since leaving Indiana, but this latest performance only added fuel to what’s becoming a growing list of frustrations for Milwaukee supporters.
“I still need more from you”: NBA fans call for a stronger Myles Turner showing
Even before this latest matchup with Detroit, Bucks fans had already been calling for more urgency from Turner. After Milwaukee’s 113-109 win on December 4, Turner posted a team graphic on his Instagram story with the caption:
“Drown The Noise It’s Always About ‘We’,”

—a line many interpreted as a subtle response to ongoing chatter about Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future. While Turner seemed to be pushing the message of unity, the reaction he got was more about his on-court presence than anything else.

One fan replied, “I like the team approach, but I still need more from you!”
Another wrote, “We’re 10-13 in 11th. String together a few wins now Myles. Getting outplayed by Jericho sims rn.”
A third added, “he had time to make that post as he was chilling on the bench with team worst -13 while the rest of the team got the W for them.”
Turner’s season averages — 12.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists across 25 games — haven’t helped quiet the noise. For a veteran with his contract and experience, fans expected a steadier impact. And until he strings together more consistent nights, the heat around him isn’t going anywhere.
