NBA fans recently shared their insights on how Commissioner Adam Silver has impacted the league, in light of the recent controversies of illegal gambling activities happening within its premises.
In a post on X, analyst and critic Jason Whitlock made a post about NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, and NBA fans chimed in with their thoughts on the matter.

“Adam Silver is the worst commissioner in the history of sports,” Whitlock captioned his post.

However, one fan seemed to have a different idea than Whitlock for the “worst.”
“I’m sure Roger Goodell says hold my beer,” the fan said.

Another fan defended Silver, citing how high-caliber talents have been brought to the league that made it more exciting to watch than the previous generation.
“You’re watching the NBA more now than you did in the 90s, and Silver is the primary reason why, getting top-tier talent into the league,” they said.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver made his first public remarks about the league’s gambling investigation while appearing on the Amazon broadcast during Friday’s Knicks-Celtics game at Madison Square Garden, saying he was “deeply disturbed” and that the allegations left him with a “pit” in his stomach.
“My initial reaction was I was deeply disturbed,” Silver said. “There’s nothing more important to the league and its fans than the integrity of the competition. I had a pit in my stomach. It was very upsetting.”
Silver stressed that nothing is more important to the NBA and its fans than the integrity of the competition, signaling the league will prioritize investigations and discipline as the situation unfolds and public concern grows.
NBA Fans Share Thoughts on Adam Silver
Over at X, NBA fans share their thoughts on Commissioner Adam Silver. For some, Silver cannot be fully blamed for what has become of the NBA, as there are factors that have been outside of his control.

“I think he accelerated the decline by being weak and useless, but I think what’s happened to the league is due to the players, and even a good commissioner wasn’t going to be able to prevent it,” the fan said.

Still, some fans think Silver ought to be blasted over the state of the league, more than the current issue of illegal gambling activities.

“His product keeps getting worse,” they said. “Chucking up 3s and flopping with no consequence.”
“LeBron and Silver ruined the NBA,” another said. “Its brand of basketball is unwatchable.”
As the cases progress and even the Congress has called for action from Silver, NBA fans are eager to see if this will bring about changes in the league overall.
