NBA fans are reacting to Paul Pierce’s latest controversial remarks on Victor Wembanyama. Pierce admitted that he did not like Wemby coming off the bench at this point in this season and said that he is not “accepting that.” Of course, fans had a range of reactions to this, with most calling out the legend for his words on the ‘alien.’

“Wemby is the third option on his own team right now. The man is a sixth man right now. How are you coming off the bench? Why are you accepting coming off the bench right now? But I’m not accepting…I’ve never seen a superstar of his magnitude accept coming off the bench for multiple games.” Paul Pierce said.

“The difference between a team player and a egomaniac,” one fan said.

“I guess that’s what makes him different from you boys. No ego, he’ll do whatever’s necessary for the team to win,” another fan pointed out.

“Moronic take. Not starting players on minute restriction is the new move in the NBA and guess what it works great in case the game is close late…NOP has been doing the same exact thing with Zion,” one more fan added their perspective.

NBA Fans Continue To Call Out Paul Pierce’s Take On Wemby

More and more NBA fans have been sharing their reactions to Paul Pierce’s take on Victor Wembanyama. While some are pointing out Wemby’s stats as the reason for his decision to come off the bench, others are highlighting that the player is putting aside his ego for his team’s success.

“Lol Paul Pierce was never a superstar and is milking that 08 ring for everything it’s worth. Don’t nobody care what he would or wouldn’t accept.” One fan said.

“Here’s something that Paul Pierce doesn’t understand and that’s because he’s never been the type of impact player that Victor has. The Spurs are trying to preserve his health especially after the injury that he’s just coming back from. They do not want him to become a liability.” One fan explained.

“Pierce talks like he’s a multiple champion and MVP. He’s not. He was a very good player. Not sure he was really that much of a leader. Garnett and Rondo seemed to be the leaders of that group. Pierce was kinda a Diva really.” Another fan trolled.

With Wemby, the Spurs are second in the West, one spot below the ruling OKC. The team is fresh off a defeat against the Cavs and will be soon getting ready to meet the Knicks for New Year’s Eve.
