“That’s The Price Of Eggs Right There”: NBA Fans Throw Jokes As Ja Morant Clash With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Tickets Drop To $13

NBA fans did not mince words in poking fun at the ticket prices of a recent game between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Oklahoma City Thunder, despite it being a game where two of the biggest NBA rivalries would clash.

Over at X, NBA fans poked fun at the most recent Grizzlies and Thunder game, going for as low as $13 per ticket, despite it being a clash between Ja Morant and MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. One fan even likened the price to one of the most basic commodities.

Another fan echoed the sentiment and said he’d go for a quick fast-food fix rather than watching the game.

“I would rather have 2 Big Macs then see the Grizzlies play basketball,” the fan said.

In their latest contest, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 35 points and instigated a late-game surge to put the Oklahoma City Thunder beyond the Memphis Grizzlies, 114-100, after overcoming a first-half deficit and changing the game in the second with multiple three-pointers and a three-point play late in the game.

Morant’s scoring woes and inefficient night were a sharp contrast to his usual production and left Memphis searching for secondary options as Oklahoma City tightened its defense and tempo in the second half.

For Memphis, Jaren Jackson Jr. led the team with 17 points and contributions from role players weren’t enough to overcome the second-half collapse that allowed Oklahoma City to seize control.

NBA Fans Debate on Memphis Low Ticket Pricing

Over at X, NBA fans debated on the worthiness of watching a Memphis Grizzlies game live, despite recent game tickets going even as low as $13 a seat. For some, the problem is not with the Grizzlies but with theri opponent.

“The NBA would have to pay me $1,000 to go watch Shai’s foul-baiting flopping shenanigans,” one fan said. “What he does is not basketball, it’s more of a circus clown side-show!!!”

For one fan, even a free ticket would not convince them to watch a game with Morant and SGA live.

“I wouldn’t watch Ja Morant and SGA play for free,” they said, adding in a laughing emoji. “Unethical hoopers.”

As the regular season progresses, NBA fans are looking forward to seeing who will eventually stand out on each conference.
