NBA fans have rallied behind Dallas Mavericks veteran star Kyrie Irving, following a social media post that talked about loyalty.
Over at social media platform X, Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving did a post that quoted one song by Kendrick Lamar that talked about loyalty. The post came at a time when rumors of a trade involving Irving hit the rumor mill, and NBA fans had mixed reactions about it, and with the series of controversies that the Mavs have gone through as an organization.
Most fans under the post showed support for Irving, with one fan even calling him his personal greatest of all time (GOAT) player.

“THAT’S MY GOAT!!” the fan said. “CALL OUT ALL THE FAKE FANS THAT ARE STILL CRYING EVEN AFTER NICO GOT FIRED!!!”

Another fan echoed the sentiment and called out “fake” Mavs fans as well.
“I feel ASHAMED as a Real Dallas Mavericks fan I didn’t know all these Man Child Luka stans were posing as ‘Mavs fans’ but glad they are gone REAL Mavs fans want AD in Dallas and Kyrie and Klay we still have a Squad Flag PJ Ryan Gaff AD Kyrie Klay Lively we can make a deep run!”
The Dallas Mavericks, in the past several months, have gone through a rough patch, ever since the controversial Luka Doncic trade that brought their former superstar to the Los Angeles Lakers. Fans have aired frustration and disappointment towards the Mavs front office, and former General Manager Nico Harrison got the most flak, with fans even calling for his firing.
Months later, Harrison was fired by the front office, and while the Doncic trade was not specified as the reason, it cited poor management decisions as a factor in the decision to fire him.
NBA Fans Give Mixed Reaction to Mavs Fan “Loyalty”
Still over at X, NBA fans reacted to Kyrie Irving’s post about loyalty when “s**t hits the fan.” While some rallied behind him for the call for loyalty, some fans gave mixed reactions to it.

“Kyrie, those lines hit deep!” one fan said. “I‘m curious how you think loyalty in sports connects to the ups and downs players face. Do you believe fans can truly stay committed through tough times, or does it depend on the players actions?”
Another fan, however, was not convinced and announced their “departure.”
“Nope. No longer a fan,” they said. “Sorry. I guess it’s just a business like all the players say. I’ll take my business elsewhere.”
As the season progresses, NBA fans are interested in whether the Mavs can find a way to bounce back and clinch a spot for the playoffs.
