NBA Fans reacted to the latest NBA news, where Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic broke his silence on the issue of the firing of former Dallas Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison. For some fans, his statement gives space and hope for him returning to the franchise one day in the future.

Over at X, fans reacted to the NBA news of Luka Doncic giving his statement and reaction to the firing of Nico Harrison from the Dallas Mavericks, as he described Dallas in a way that gave fans a bit of hope.

“Obviously, always there is going to be a part of me there,” Doncic said about the Mavs. “But I’m just trying to move and focus on what we’re doing here. Right now, I’m just focused on the Lakers, man. Like, no further comments.”

Luka reacts to the Mavs firing Nico:

“The city of Dallas, the fans, players they always have a special place in my heart. I thought I was gonna stay there forever but I didn’t. Always I can call it home. But right now I’m focused on the Lakers, trying to move on”

While his statement did not indicate any desire for a return to the Mavs in the future, fans took it that way and some even urged him to “come back home” soon.

“Come home buddy,” one fan said. “The bad man isn’t here any more.”

One fan, on the other hand, boldly predicted that Doncic would return to the Mavs when he enters free agency.

“Bro Luka is coming back to Dallas July 2028,” the fan said. “He’ll be an unrestricted free agent.”

Earlier this week, the Dallas Mavericks terminated general manager Nico Harrison, not even 10 months after he worked the trade that put Luka Doncic on the Los Angeles Lakers. Owner Patrick Dumont made the announcement, and Michael Finley and Matt Riccardi were named co-interim general managers, while the Mavericks begin the process of finding a permanent general manager.

Dumont characterized the move as part of the need to create a rebuild to a championship-minded organization, while the changes in the front office reflects the mounting criticism over the restructure of the roster, and the scandal surrounding the Doncic trade.

WNBA Fans React to NBA News: Will Luka Doncic Come Back to Mavs?

Over at X, fans gave their reactions to one of the hottest NBA news stories, which they believed was a hint that Luka Doncic might still be interested in a return to the Mavs, now that former GM Nico Harrison has been fired from the franchise.

“So there’s still a hope,” one fan said.

However, there are fans who think that a reuter might not be in the cards, as the franchise already had done him “dirty.”

“The whole Dallas organization did Luka dirty,” one fan said. “Why would he come back. He clearly mentioned everything besides the organization. He ain’t coming back to the Mavs.”

Fans continue to stay tuned for NBA news, as Luka Doncic remain to be one of the most promising stars of the Lakers this season.
