NBA fans are having a range of reactions to insider reports coming in that the Clippers are hoping to make their Chris Paul trade slightly sweeter, in honor of the legacy the player leaves behind. According to Jake L. Fischer, the team is trying to get Paul into a team of his choosing. However, fans are having a multitude of jokes about this, especially since many feel that the team is already doing plenty of wrong in trading Paul out.
“I’ve also been told – in strong terms – that the Clippers do want to work in tandem with Paul and his CAA representation to find him a new home. The 40-year-old indicated last week that he is more likely than not to keep playing even if it means leaving Los Angeles and league sources insist that the Clippers, in a nod to Paul’s status as a franchise legend, do want him to relocate.” Jake L. Fischer wrote.

“Oh wow what a nice consolation lol (rolling eyes emoji) This team is constantly eating crow or trying to save face. I’m surprised they didn’t roll out an elderly racist executive or something to deal the scandal out to.” one fan said.
“they should just cut him so he can be a free agent play anywhere not sure what they’re gonna get for assets in return for a trade,” another fan reasoned.
“They should trade him to OKC for Nikola Topic and let CP3 retire in a place where he was loved, where he had a great season, and with the possibility of winning a ring, even if it’s just playing 3 minutes in the finals.” one more fan felt.
NBA Fans Feel Chris Paul’s Time In NBA Is Up
On another note, many NBA fans felt that it is definitely high time that Chris Paul hung up his boots for good. CP3 is undoubtedly a great player, but his numbers have dipped badly over the last few years.

“CP, it’s time my brother,” one fan said.

“Just retire bro,” another fan stated.
“They’re going to pretend they’re doing something good because they know that nobody wants him. Clippers you not that smart. Sorry.” One more fan said.
It is a running theme on social media with many fans saying that there is not one team in the league right now that wants an aging Chris Paul. However, the legend may still have one more championship ring in him if he manages to find a team that is ready to play by his rules and playbook.
