Ja Morant is back in the spotlight, and this time it’s not for a highlight reel dunk. According to reports, there’s been growing tension between the Memphis Grizzlies star and the team’s new head coach, Tuomas Iisalo.
DunkCentral posted, “There has reportedly been ‘tension’ between Ja Morant and head coach Tuomas Iisalo over the past several days, and teams around the league are monitoring Morant’s situation in Memphis.”

The moment that tweet hit the timeline, NBA Fans wasted no time jumping into the discussion.
@HateradeCon joked, “Put ja on the wizards and let him cry,” while @BTCBabyBull reminded everyone, “Centel tweeted this on the offseason, Ja to Brooklyn ??.”
The comments reflected how NBA Fans have started losing patience with the drama surrounding Morant.
While there’s always some low hanging fruits that NBA fans will no doubt pull humor from, you could also feel for the 25-year-old guard after facing a string of controversies and suspensions over the past two years. People saw the player as someone who had a lot of potential, but it’s the things off court that’s been defining his career for some time.
There is still some time, and definitely some opportunity to outgrow his troubles. And there are still a number of NBA fans that believes in this too. But it takes the right growth to reach the right maturity.
No doubt that there’s still a little room for improvement. But while there is still time to do so, patience is running out. Especially for the NBA fans who had high hopes for him.
NBA Fans React After Ja Morant’s Honest Comment About Struggles
In a recent interview, Ja Morant opened up about how tough things have been lately, saying he’s “lost his joy.” That single line set off a wave of reactions from NBA Fans—some sympathetic, others brutally honest.

@TheDunkCentral quoted him directly: “Ja Morant says he lost his joy.”

For NBA Fans who have followed his ups and downs, the statement hit differently. It showed a player who might finally be realizing the toll of everything that’s happened since his off-court controversies began. But, social media being social media, not everyone went easy on him.
@LakersTeej commented, “I’d lose my joy for the game too if I couldn’t shoot outside of 6 feet,” while @Ivandoe21 added, “I lost my joy too watching this team turn the ball over every possession.”
Morant’s honesty might be what turns things around—or what proves that both he and Memphis need a clean slate. Either way, NBA Fans are paying close attention, waiting to see if the spark that once defined him can ever return.
