NBA fans are shocked with another bomb dropped by Paul Pierce, where the retired baller stated that Pau Gasol should have won the finals MVP, rather than Kobe Bryant back in 2010. Fans have been throwing some interesting opinions at Pierce’s statements, with many even siding with Pierce.

Numbers will say that Gasol actually delivered a mind-blowing performance in those finals, especially in Game &. However, Bryant went on to win the MVP for simply being his best self despite his shortcomings. Still, Paul Pierce’s comments were certainly surprising, and fans are not going to let the NBA legend forget it so easily.

“I actually thought Pau should’ve been the MVP. He kind of dominated. He was killing. He showed his toughness and you could tell that 24 put that battery in his back. You saw it in that series. That was the difference because Pau had the skills he was just missing that toughness.” Paul Pierce said.

“Kendrick Perkins deserved the 2008 Finals MVP over Paul Pierce” one fan announced.

“Why is Kobe’s legacy the only one that gets played like this? He f***ing averaged 29.8.4 with 2.1 steals on 88% FT shooting (2.3 was the season award winner) Pau averaged 19, 11 and 3 on 72% FT shooting. What the f**k are we talking about here? We don’t talk about LeBron or nobody’s legacy as much as this. Kyrie literally almost averaged the same points as LeBron in the finals, but hit the big shot and shot better from 3 and the FT line and not a single soul says Kyrie should’ve won over LeBron. Pierce you averaged 21, 4 and 6. Ray Allen averaged 20, 5 and 2. KG averaged 18, 13 and 3. Should KG or Ray Allen won your Finals MVP??? Stfu man. @paulpierce 34,” another fan brutally trolled Pierce.

“Paul cooked, but Kobe was Kobe,” one fan simply explained.

NBA Fans Call Out Paul Pierce For Pau Gasol Vs. Kobe Bryant Take

NBA fans are definitely peeved with Paul Pierce’s latest remarks on Pau Gasol deserving the MVP award more than Bryant. Apart from giving clear explanations as to why Pierce is wrong, many fans are taking the opportunity to simply deride the retired baller.

“Pau was clutch, but Kobe carried the weight,” one fan said.

“rage bait Pierce,” another fan criticized Pierce.

“Paul Pierce just be waking up and saying anything.” One fan joked.

Paul Pierce is known for saying some ridiculous things and it looks like the New Year has only increased his fervor. Despite getting plenty of hate from people for saying what he does, the man has clearly not learnt his lesson.
