NBA fans recently gave their honest reaction to former Orlando Magic star and Hall of Famer Dwight Howard, particularly on the topic of military enlistment.

Over at X, Dwight Howard expressed a “random” opinion, where he voiced out his idea of making military service for Americans mandatory. He highlighted how the US could do it like how others do it. However, NBA fans seemed to have a differing opinion on the matter.

“Random,” Howard posted. “I honestly feel like the president should make one year of service mandatory for everyone born in America.  A lot of other countries do it. And I think it would help with discipline and structure. I’m curious what y’all think would this help America or nah.”

Random. I honestly feel like the president should make one year of service mandatory for everyone born in America. A lot of other countries do it. And I think it would help with discipline and structure. I’m curious what yall think would this help America or nah.

One fan was quick to poke fun at Howard’s idea.

“Can I claim bone spurs like the president?” they said.

For one fan, while the idea made sense, the problem would be continuity.

“You’re probably right,” they said. “But whatever President introduced this, and the congressional representatives (if it would actually pass) who voted it into law, would lose the next election, and it would be repealed by the next president and Congress.”

For the most part, Dwight Howard had remained publicly apolitical and had not expressed support towards any particular party or figure.

NBA Fans Shut Down Dwight Howard on Wemby’s Vert Comment

Former NBA star Dwight Howard recently got shut down by NBA fans over his comment about San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama and his vertical height.

With that said, Howard pointed out one thing that he expected Wemby to have done by now: dunking more dunks.

“Y’all think Wemby vert really 39?” Howard said in his post. “Mine 39 lol if it is imma need to start seeing him do some crazy dunks and see him in the dunk contest.”

However, for one fan, Howard’s era in the NBA is over and should remain that way.

“Bro, let these new kids shine,” the fan said. “Your time is over.”

For one fan. Howard’s alleged vertical leap measurement of Wemby seems to be far from what is possible.

“If Wemby’s vert really 39?” the fan asked. “That’s a whole new level of freak athlete. Can’t wait to see him flying in the dunk contest and breaking the rim like it’s nothing.”

For now, NBA fans are looking forward to how Wembanyama and the Spurs would ultimately fare, as they currently stand second in the Western Conference.
