NBA fans poked fun at the performance that former Phoenix Suns star Bradley Beal gave during his debut game against his former team.

Over at social media platform X, NBA fans poked fun at how Bradley Beal’s “revenge game” against his former team, now that he is playing for the Los Angeles Clippers.

“Worst revenge game I’ve ever seen,” one fan said.

Bradley Beal’s first game back in Phoenix after signing with the Clippers turned into a chastening homecoming as Suns fans greeted him with sustained boos and little else to cheer about on the stat sheet.

Beal struggled to justify the hype during his two seasons there, and those frustrations were on full display Thursday when he finished with just five points on 2‑for‑14 shooting in 20 minutes during a 115‑102 loss to the Suns.

Fans have long criticized the “big‑three” experiment that paired Beal with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, and the jeers Tuesday night highlighted how quickly goodwill evaporated as results fell short of expectations.

Beal has agreed to a contract buyout with the Phoenix Suns and plans to join the Los Angeles Clippers on a two-year, $11 million deal with a player option for 2026–27 after he clears waivers. Beal gave back roughly $13.9 million to complete the buyout, and the move allowed the Clippers to add a proven scorer and playmaker alongside Kawhi Leonard and James Harden while giving Beal flexibility for free agency.

Beal’s departure completed a turbulent two-year run in Phoenix that included injuries and roster changes, as the Suns have reshaped their core under new leadership and moved Kevin Durant in a blockbuster trade earlier in the offseason.

The agreement came after an extensive recruiting process involving multiple teams and direct conversations with Harden, and it positioned Beal to step into the Clippers’ starting shooting-guard role.

Over at X, NBA fans discuss the underwhelming performance of Bradley Beal versus his former team, the Phoenix Suns. For some fans, Beal has played well past his prime for quite some time now.

One fan echoed the sentiment, likening him to a certain Lakers player.

“Dude putting up Bronny numbers,” they said.

As the regular season progresses, NBA fans are looking forward to more numbers that veteran stars like Beal could put up.
