NBA Fans couldn’t take it anymore when analyst Stan Van Gundy made a bold comment on live TV. Victor Wembanyama helped his team defeat the Thunder in the NBA Cup semifinal. Wembanyama made a bold comment after the win and received huge backlash from fans. However, several fans poured in their support for the player after Gundy’s unwanted comment.
Gundy didn’t want the “Alien” tag on Wembanyama to avoid ICE deportation, the order by US President Donald Trump. Yet, the way he spoke on live TV was not something that NBA fans saw every day. Here’s a look at the video.

Fans held nothing back as they called out the conversation that went viral on social media. Here are some reactions from X.

“Bro it’s literally Hitler,” one fan wrote.
“Stan Van Gundy is crazy, tf he mean “don’t call Wemby an alien, cause they’ll deport him (Loudly crying face X2),” one fan wrote.
“What a fuckin weirdo. We’re supposed to deport ILLEGAL aliens,” another fan commented.
Several NBA Fans Continued To Slam Stan Van Gundy For His Unnecessary Comment
Not many NBA fans took his comment as a joke. While it’s clear that he was trying to joke, it was certainly unnecessary to say such a thing on live TV or anywhere, for that matter. Fans continued to fire Gundy for his comment on Wembanyama.

“Yeah, that was too much of Stan for one night they should’ve switched. I got a headache from listening to him,” one fan wrote.
“Let’s all send a message to NBA AND TELL THEM TO NEVER LET STAN ANNOUNCE ANOTHER BIG GAME. He ruined it!!! Such a good game and I gotta hear Stan talk about nothing for 3 hrs. “Okc is going to have issues in the paint with Wemby in!!” Yea and water is wet bro. Wtff,” wrote one angry fan.
“Dude ruined the game. He’s so annoying bro. He can’t stfu for ten seconds and let us watch the game quietly. Blah blah blah!!! (expressionless face),” one fan chipped in.
Some NBA fans even questioned the analyst if he was racist. Many called him names and stated that it was painful to watch.
