With free agency treating him well, Ben Simmons is pondering a comeback. But NBA fans aren’t convinced his time in the league can be revived.
According to The Athletic, Simmons said his shot finally feels good, and he’s training in Los Angeles to become “bulletproof” against further setbacks.
“Before he attempts another comeback, Simmons said he is training in Los Angeles with the goal of becoming ‘bulletproof’ to avoid further setbacks. He also said his shot finally feels good and that he can now take a simple hook shot without any discomfort.”

NBA fans weren’t buying it.
@jbondwagon mocked him with a viral clip: “Bruh. Ben Simmons had the entire ocean to throw this fish in and he still missed. His shot is hopeless.”

@SgtHamSteak asked: “a hook shot?! what about a good ole fashion jumper, you finally develop one of those yet?”
And @HenryTheBlasian joked: “I can’t believe this is not Centel.”
Simmons played just 18 games last season, averaging 2.9 points, 3.1 assists, and 3.8 rebounds. The Clippers’ first‑round exit against Denver marked the end of his stint with the team.
“How tf u brick a fish?” NBA Fans Poke Fun at Simmons’ Viral Video
Even off the court, Simmons couldn’t escape NBA fans’ jokes. A fishing video went viral after he tried to toss a catch back into the ocean — only to miss and drop it on the deck before it bounced into the water.
Fans piled on with more mockery.
