LeBron James is inching toward an NBA milestone, but that hasn’t stopped the NBA fans from clowning his comeback route.
Recovering from a nagging sciatica issue, the 39-year-old superstar is reportedly joining the South Bay Lakers — the G-League affiliate of the Los Angeles Lakers — to get a few runs in before returning to the main squad with Luka Doncic and company. It’s a smart way to rebuild conditioning, yet fans couldn’t help themselves from turning it into comic relief.

“Someone’s goat got assigned to the g-league,” one fan joked.

Another wrote, “Bron tryna drop 70 on some plumbers.”
A third added, “right where he belongs with bronny. first father and son duo in the g-league. making history again.”
For James, the short stint is part of a careful recovery plan before he steps back onto the NBA floor for his unprecedented 23rd season. Once he’s officially back, he’ll own the record for the most seasons played in league history — a feat even his critics can’t ignore.
“Where the f*ck y’all at?”: NBA fans Fire Back After Luka Doncic’s Reaction to LeBron’s Return
While memes continue to roll in, Luka Doncic is just happy to have his co-star returning soon.
“We can’t wait,” Doncic told Lakers Nation. “All of us can’t wait. It’s Bron, so it’s always good to have him back. Hopefully soon.”

That statement was all fans needed to rally behind the duo. Many used it to clap back at rumors of any tension between the two stars.
One fired off, “Where are those clowns that said Luka doesn’t want Bron back? Or that they prefer playing without him? Where the f*ck y’all at?”

Another commented, “Luka Doncic wants to make those outlet passes to LeBron James for Fastbreak Offense layups.”
A third said, “I was told they hate each other though.”
During James’ absence, Doncic and Austin Reaves have done their best to keep the Lakers rolling. Doncic currently tops the league in scoring at 37.1 points per game, while Reaves sits fifth.
LeBron’s return is expected to happen during the team’s upcoming home stand before the Lakers head to Utah on November 18 — and when it happens, all eyes will be on how he and Luka mesh once more.
