NBA fans reacted to a recent on-court altercation that involved Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green and Phoenix Suns guard Collin Gillespie.
Over at X, NBA fans reacted to a viral video of Draymond Green having a heated moment during the Warriors’ recent game against the Suns, where he shouted “white boy” to Suns guard Collin Gillespie. Fans were curious if the league leadership would remain just as silent had the roles were reversed. For one fan, Gillespie calling out Green would mean the end of his career.

“If the tables were reversed Collin would be unemployed,” the fan said.

For one fan, Green shouting “white boy” to a player from the opposing team while having a white teammate beside him is peak humor.
“I like how Podz is just right there too haha,” the fan said.
Draymond Green was ejected early in the second quarter of Golden State’s Saturday game against the Phoenix Suns after Gillespie and then receiving a second technical for arguing with official Pat Fraher, forcing him from the contest in the first half.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr criticized the call after the game, calling the second technical “weak” and contrasting it with what he described as a missed ejection two nights earlier when an opponent struck Stephen Curry, a point Kerr said made the Green penalty feel inconsistent.
“I thought it was weak,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr told reporters after the game. “He definitely deserved one. But he’s walking to the bench and yells something and second technical. We just saw a guy on their team literally punch Steph in the stomach the other night, premeditated, punches him in the stomach and no ejection for that. Two nights later, refs got upset with some words from Draymond. I totally disagreed.”
The ejection marked Green’s first of the season; he entered the game already among the league leaders in technical fouls and has a long history of disqualifications over his career, though he remains a central figure on Golden State’s defense despite uneven offensive production this year.
NBA Fans Call out League Over Draymond Green Slur
Over at X, fans argued over the recent viral video where Draymond Green called out to Collin Gillespie. For one fan, the reaction of the fans and the league itself may be different had it been Gillespie who called Green “black boy.”

“More acceptable racist behavior by a black man,” the fan said. “What would’ve happened if a white player had yelled ‘black boy’ at a black player?”

For another fan, Green picking on the Suns guard shows a pattern in his choice of people to pick a fight with.
“You know dray is a coward cause he usually picks on small guys or white guys,” the fan said. “Never big dudes or anyone remotely scary. He’s a coward bully and always will be.”
With the Warriors standing at the 8th spot in the Western Conference, NBA fans are looking forward to how the Bay Area team will ultimately fare for the rest of the regular season.
