In his recent interview with The Athletic, coach Kerr highlighted his point-of-view on certain topics within the NBA, including dynasties, team dominance, and the league having “eras” that eventually find its end of time. One of the topics Kerr touched on is the idea that the Warriors who once dominated with a back-to-back Championship, and won three rings in four years, might be seeing their era closing down.

“We just don’t know exactly when it’s going to end,” Kerr said. “And what we’re hanging on to is the idea that we still have something left in the tank. If all the pieces fall into place, we think we have a shot. And so we’re trying to get one more. Obviously, we know ‘rings culture,’ we all focus on who won. But there is something beautiful in the fight, in the quest.”

Kerr stated that although Leadership and culture are essential components within any team, they will not insulate the Team from the physical aspects concerning an aging roster or changes that occur in the NBA as time goes by.

As far as the overall state of the entire NBA is concerned, Kerr highlighted how certain structures of the league bring Closure to different eras, such as changes in rules, evolution of playing styles, player movement through free-agency, and the introduction of new players who are capable of exploiting different types of strengths that the prior “championship teams” had.

During the same interview, Kerr further indicated the necessity for coaches and front offices to be flexible. He also highlighted the importance of skill, coupled with smart personnel decisions, as significant elements of assisting the Teams who will be able to transition to become championship teams.

NBA Fans Give Honest Reaction to Steve Kerr Statement on Steph Curry

Over at X, NBA fans gave their input on Steve Kerr’s statement that expressed his loyalty to Steph Curry. Some fans found this admirable, while some found this statement funny for some reason.

“Loyalty like that is rare,” one fan said. “Curry’s impact extends beyond stats; Kerr knows it.”

“Great duo need to keep them together,” another fan said.

For one fan, however, Kerr’s statement did not make sense, as he sounded as if he was about to go somewhere else.

“What does this even mean,” the fan said. “Bro acting like he got offers elsewhere.”
