NBA fans reacted to a wild claim by San Antonio Spurs star Victor Webanyama on the topic of who is the “best player in the NBA.”
In a recent interview, Spurs star Victor Wembanyama gave his honest thoughts on who is the best player in the NBA right now. NBA fans, meanwhile, gave their reaction to his answer, which others found to be a confident take, while others found it full of ego.

“I think Jokic is the best offensive player,” Wemby said. “I don’t think he’s the best player. I think it’s between Giannis and Shai. When I come back on the court, I think it will be me.”

For one fan, Wemby’s honesty is just him showing his inflated ego.
“He has way too of an ego for someone who’s injury prone three years into his NBA career,” the fan said. “This downfall will be amazing when it happens.”
Another fan echoed the sentiment, reiterating that Wemby’s claim could be possible on one condition.
“Honest answer from him,” the fan said. “If he’s ever healthy, I think he’s right!”
So far this season, Victor Webanyama was out for at least 12 games due to a calf injury.
NBA Fans React to Victor Webanyama Correcting Reporter About His Career High
NBA fans reacted to how San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama publicly corrected a reporter who misstated his scoring against the New York Knicks and dismissed a claim that he once scored 60 points in a game against the team.

The exchange, captured at an NBA Cup media availability, went viral and highlighted the confusion with Jalen Brunson’s 61-point game in the same matchup last season.
“You scored 60 against the [Knicks],” the reporter asked. “What do you remember about those games?”

“Reporter prob player 2k the night before while drunk and still hungover,” they said. “Or he from the future idk.
So far, NBA fans are excited for how the NBA Cup would turn out, as well as rumors and movements from franchises with the trade deadline coming in.
