Russell Westbrook has finally found his way to the Sacramento Kings after a lot of drama. The veteran point guard has put the rumors to rest after signing a deal as a free agent. While some NBA fans are hyped with this news, some are unhappy with the Kings for their decision.
NBA insider Sham Charania was one of the first to break the news on social media. According to sources, Westbrook and the Kings have agreed to a one-year deal with a guaranteed $3.6 million. The deal favors Westbrook who’s free agency saga was pending for a long time. The veteran will return to his home state for the first time in his career.

The news of his signing went viral on social media and a well-known parody account named NBACentel reposed their tweet on X from July 1, which stated that Russell Westbrook is signing with the Sacramento Kings. NBA fans couldn’t help but react to their post.

Westbrook is undoubtedly one of the best players in the league. However, several teams were hesitant to sign a player who’s at the tail end of his career. Sadly, he’s yet to win a championship and his dream seems to be slipping away.
Russell Westbrook hopes that he could win a championship with the Sacramento Kings. At 36, not many teams are ready to give Westbrook a long-term contract. The maximum he could get will be a year or two.
The good news is that Westbrook is happy to find a team, but not all NBA fans want to watch him on the court.
