Bronny James may have already been sent back to the South Bay Lakers, but that hasn’t stopped NBA fans from roasting the son of LeBron James as he continues to struggle in the G-League.

Recent highlight clips circulating online show Bronny fumbling possessions, missing passes, and failing to drive effectively to the basket. Fans quickly questioned whether his spot in the league was earned.

After all those strings his dad pulled to get him in the league…

    — VegasCheesehead (@Shady_Justin) December 18, 2025

@ross_jace compared him to Kobe Bryant: “This guy is 19.. Kobe was 18 and in the NBA. This is a dedication issue. He doesn’t want it.”

And @Fityeth asked bluntly, “How did he get into the NBA?”

Through six games in the Tip-Off Tournament, Bronny has averaged 9.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists—numbers that haven’t silenced critics.

Bronny’s struggles even made their way into music. In his track FDO (First Day Out), rapper Pooh Shiesty dropped a line:

“Your daddy a killer, but you ain’t, you just like Bronny James.”

Though there’s no known beef between Shiesty and the James family, fans seized on the lyric.

@ragtimeplaylist noted, “Broony catching random strays.”

@droman_sea mocked both father and son: “LeBron plays like Bronny when it’s time to make a game winning shot.”

And @Randomnbafacts added, “And his dad not even a killer though.”

Despite the criticism, Bronny and LeBron have already etched their names in NBA history as the first father-son duo to play in the league simultaneously.

For Bronny, the challenge now is proving he belongs on his own merit, while fans continue to debate whether his career is built on potential—or simply his last name.
