NBA Fans brought the jokes again after a clip of Karl-Anthony Towns went viral for all the wrong reasons.
The moment came from a video shared by @BrickCenter_, who wrote, “Why is KAT spitting on the court [crying emoji]” as Towns casually leaned down and spit on the hardwood during a dead ball.

One of the top replies came from @_markfenner, saying, “Bro thought this was the football field,” which instantly became the main punchline across the thread.
Others jumped in with different angles. @JustinVaughn15 added, “Hoppers know, traction on the shoes,” suggesting Towns could have been trying to improve grip the way some players do during pick-up games.
NBA Fans kept arguing over whether it was for traction or just a bad habit, but nobody could deny how strange it looked in an NBA setting.
The joke-heavy replies highlighted how fast NBA Fans can latch onto a moment. A simple clip turned into a conversation about court etiquette, player habits, and how cameras catch everything now. Some noted that plenty of players wipe their shoes with their hands or the bottom of their uniforms. Spitting on the floor, though, crossed into a territory that NBA Fans were not going to let slide.
The NBA fans and community really knows how to make any out-of-the-ordinary moments into memeable ones, but let’s face it: this is nothing new. But those little breaks in the game and the moments that come with them bring just as much enjoyment in memes as the game itself.
NBA Fans React After Knicks Drop Another Game In Boston
NBA Fans either get behind or get on the back. And in this case, they piled onto the New York Knicks after another tough loss to the Boston Celtics, this time falling 123-117 on December 2nd.

The official @nyknicks account posted the final graphic with the caption, “final from boston. back home tomorrow.”

That simple update opened the door for another round of reactions from NBA Fans who were quick to point out how familiar this matchup feels.
One of the loudest replies came from @TGTatum4_3, who wrote, “The owner of the New York Knicks,” paired with a photo of Jaylen Brown, who had a dominant night.
NBA Fans echoed the joke across the thread, saying Brown seems to always deliver his best games against New York.
Another user, @svetchey, added, “Damn, losing to the Celtics without Tatum must suck [grimace emoji],” a line that many fans agreed with.
Across the replies, NBA Fans kept returning to the same thread: the Knicks’ struggle to close games in Boston. Even with a strong lineup and better depth this season, they still run into the same problems when the game tightens in the fourth quarter.
