NBA fans are reacting to DeMarcus Cousins’ recent comments, where the former baller asked the Pelicans and the Grizzlies to relocate. Cousins appeared on ‘Run It Back’ where he pointed out that these two teams are not getting much revenue with their crowd and need to do better.
Fans have been mostly agreeing with Cousins’ idea, sharing their own sad experiences from Pelicans games as of late. On the other side, there have been many who were genuinely surprised at Pelicans courtside tickets being so cheap.

“I think it’s time (for the Grizzlies and Pelicans to relocate). I think it was time, five to six years ago. Especially for New Orleans. You go to the games, and there are about 36 people there. Popcorn is a dollar. Courtside’s $25. There’s not really much going on. There’s not much success happening for just that part of it…It’s time. Blow it up, move on. There are no fans.” DeMarcus Cousins said.

“$25 is cheap! We paid $200 for courtside when we went for my bachelor party” one fan stated.
“Team needs a proper rebrand starting with that wack name ‘Pelicans’. The same people that own the NFL (football emoji) team also own the NBA (basketball emoji) team. They should rebrand as the ‘New Orleans Scorpions’ or ‘New Orleans Basketball Saints’. The current ‘Pelicans’ branding is lazy. If not relocate” another fan pointed out.
“If courtside was $25 I’d be at every game fam we making stuff up” one more fan said.
NBA Fans Feel $25 Tickets Is Not A Bad Thing
While many NBA fans felt that the Pelicans should definitely do some rebranding to get a larger crowd, others felt that $25 is not exactly a bad thing for basketball fans. Of course, there were several others who cribbed about the sad state of the current crowd at Pelicans games.

“1. Why do people act like cheap tickets is a bad thin
2The pelicans average 99.4% arena capacity this year which is top 10 in the league” one fan called out.

“He not lying tho, the crowd be looking like church service after offering time” another fan joked.
“Love Boogie; strongly disagree” one more fan called out Cousins.
Fans also agree collectively that it is not just the location or the add-ons at the stadium which are responsible for a poor attendance. The Pelicans as a team have been letting down their fans for quite some time, and they need to put up more wins if they want to attract a larger crowd.
