NBA fans shared their honest thoughts on a recent report that tagged one player as the “most unserious” name in the league right now.

Over at social media platform X, NBA fans shared their honest feelings after NBA insider Jake Fischer recently tagged Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball as “the most unserious player” in the league right now. For some fans, players like LaMelo are the ones that are focused not on giving performances that are impressive on paper, but for something else entirely.

“A ShowStar,” the fan described Ball. “This how I call players like him. An All-Star player in terms of talent and numbers, but lacks the IQ and seriousness to become a real NBA star. He is just there for the highlights reel, peak entertainment.”

In his piece, Fischer also detailed why he believes teams like the Sacramento Kings may not be really interested in trading for Ball. While the front office is widely anticipated to explore multiple options this offseason, sources say a Ball trade does not fit the direction the team’s leadership has signaled it wants to take. For Fischer, the industry climate points to Ball not being the person to reinvigorate the culture within the Kings.

Another fan agreed with Ball’s “untradeability,” citing that Charlotte would have to pad his value with picks to get someone interested in him.

“He is a liability at this point,” the fan said. “Who is really going to trade FOR him? Hornets would need to attach picks to get of his contract.”

With several notable Kings players already linked to trade conversations, the coming weeks could still bring significant activity, but a deal for Ball appears increasingly unlikely given the team’s stated priorities.

NBA Fans Get Serious on LaMelo Ball as “Unserious Player”

Over at X, NBA fans discussed what they thought of the “unserious player” tag that an NBA insider dropped on Hornets star LaMelo Ball. For one fan, they believe that the tag i a given for a basketball player with the name Ball.

“Bro’s last name is Ball,” they said. “He’s just an unserious person.”

For one fan, being “unserious” is simply a part of Ball’s personal brand, and does not necessarily mean anything negative about him as a player.

“That’s his style and it makes him better than 99% of the other overly serious players,” the fan said.

With the trade deadline coming soon, NBA fans are on the lookout for potential shift in franchise strategy and roster changes.
