NBA fans have been majorly busy taking shots at Stephen A. Smith ever since the illegal gambling allegations by NBA players and coaches came to light. Smith made headlines by announcing that President Trump is to blame for the arrests and that there are definitely more to come. For this, Smith faced plenty of backlash, and the veteran sports analyst put out another tweet clarifying himself, especially since he was called out by FBI Director Kash Patel.
Smith was reminded by fans that the investigations had been going on for several years, way past when President Trump took office. Patel also stated that he was responsible for all the arrests and that the POTUS had nothing to do with it.

“Nothing to get ahead of here, people! I never denied or failed to mention that this FBI investigation has been going on for years. I said Trump wasn’t inclined to stop it. He’s sparing no one because the man isn’t playing. He’s coming!!! In no way am I attempting to even have an opinion on the legitimacy of this matter. I don’t know the facts of the case. I’m just saying don’t expect POTUS to spare anyone on this matter. And I stand by that. That’s all!” Stephen A. Smith tweeted.

“Then why did you mention @realDonaldTrump being upset about Bad Bunny in the Superbowl? Sending Ice Agents etc… Dude just admit you wanted to scare everyone about Trump.” one fan commented.
“Glad you clarified that BUT you should do it when you’re hosting because you certainly made IT sound like he was going after the NBA and the WNBA when these investigations started over a year before he took office.” another fan said.
“I’m mad because you got me agreeing with Kash Patel (laughing with tears emoji) dude take the L n move on” another fan advised Smith.
NBA Fans Continue To Troll Stephen A. Smith
NBA fans are not letting the whole situation around Stephen A. Smith die down and are continuing to troll the analyst on social media. Smith’s words on Trump were not liked by many, especially since the POTUS was nowhere mentioned in the accusations.

“Like all the other times before, Stephen A is overcorrecting so he gets invited back to the cookout. Stephen A, blink twice if you need help!” one fan humorously stated.

“You’re a sports guy. Why aren’t you going after the sports aspect of this? Why even bring up Trump? I don’t get it.” another fan rightly noted
“As a man who speaks for a living if you watch yourself back I think you’ll understand why we interpreted it the way you said it.” a fan pointed out.
The recent illegal gambling case has named more than 30 people related to the NBA, including players and coaches. The case goes beyond the NBA since several mafia family members have also been named in the case.
