NBA fans are shocked with Tyrese Maxey displaying his dog-handling skills at a recent National Dog Show. The 76ers star participated in the Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge Agility Show a couple of weeks back, which was aired on Thanksgiving.
Maxey participated in the show with two of his talented dogs, Howie and Spike, who were leaning on his every command. Apparently, Maxey’s participation in the contest was initiated by the dog show organizers themselves, who wanted to know if any of the players in the 76ers roster would be interested in the gig. Fans have been having hilarious reactions to the viral video, with many heaping praise on the hooper for amassing such talent.

“Tyrese Maxey just won the dog show” BarstoolPAT tweeted with a video of Maxey at the dog show.

“This gotta be the most insane side quest” one fan reacted.
“This is the most random thing ever I love it!” one more fan highlighted.
“Man didn’t even have a leash, just pure vibes, perfect coat, elite footwork, and a smile that made every judge throw their scorecards in the air. Some pups bark… Maxey balled. (dog emoji, trophy emoji, red heart emoji)” another fan said.
NBA Fans Take Shots At Joel Embiid After Tyrese Maxey Impresses At Dog Show
While many NBA fans were delighted with Tyrese Maxey showing off him and his dogs’ skills at the dog show, there were many others who used the occasion to mock Joel Embiid. Embiid, Maxey’s 76ers teammate, has been out for several games as a result of a knee injury, much to the chagrin of fans and even fellow teammates.

“Joel Embid dog would have been questionable to participate” one fan trolled.

“Embiid’s dog waiting for him to come back from ‘Load Management’” another fan joked with a gif of a dog lazily doing leg raises.
“This is how Maxey blows off steam from the fact that he has Embiid and Paul George as teammates (rolling on the floor laughing emoji)” another fan speculated.
The video clip showing Maxey and Howie participating has gone viral for the right reasons. It definitely looked like Howie had a strong chance at winning the competition in the first few seconds, but towards the middle, the adorable pooch started playing with his master. Maxey still managed to remain calm and went on to assist Howie in completing the obstacle course.
