The Milwaukee Bucks are stuck in a rough stretch, and the frustration from the NBA fans is now aimed squarely at head coach Doc Rivers.
Monday’s 126-129 loss to the Washington Wizards stretched the losing streak to eight, turning early-season concern into full-on frustration. And with Milwaukee unable to snap out of it, plenty of fans are pointing at Rivers as the common thread.

One fan said, “It was time to panic when Doc Rivers was hired as head coach.”

Another joked, “It’s not time to panic. When Wizards beat you after that long losing streak, it’s time to visit a Tibetan Monk and find inner peace.”
A third added, “Giannis is literally wasting his prime over there, instead of going somewhere else to contend for a championship. This summer he should leave and go somewhere with realistic chances of winning a title.”
Even big nights from Kevin Porter Jr. and Giannis Antetokounmpo couldn’t stop things from slipping away. Milwaukee hung around late, but the result was the same — another loss, and another round of questions about whether a coaching shake-up is already on the table.
“Are you guys predicting the future again?”: NBA fans react to parody account’s jab at Doc Rivers
While the Bucks fanbase wrestles with panic, NBACentel — the parody account known for jokingly calling things before they happen — jumped in with a post hinting at Rivers’ possible firing. And as usual, fans jumped at it.

One replied, “Are you guys predicting the future again?”
Another added, “Doesn’t even need sources for this one, we all knew this day was coming right when he got hired lmao.”
A third dropped the line many believe fits the account perfectly: “Never wrong Always Early.”
Rivers has been at the helm since 2024 and does have one piece of hardware to show — the NBA Cup. But the organization didn’t hire him for an in-season banner. The goal has always been the Larry O’Brien trophy, and as the losses stack up, that dream feels further away than ever.
