“Tell The 5 Dems To Vote Yes Its Not Rocket Science”: NBA Fans Get Opinionated After Doc Rivers Speaks Out On Child Hunger SNAP programs In The US

NBA fans are having mixed reactions to Doc Rivers’ recent statement on SNAP program delays which are causing many children in low-income households to go without access to food. Rivers spoke to the media after the recent game with the Kings and opened up on this situation for at least a couple of minutes.

Rivers’ words were truly appreciated by many, since hardly any sports authorities are speaking out on this sad situation. At the same time, there were many fans who started blaming different parties and politicians for this ongoing crisis in the United States.

“The SNAP programs around the country – and especially in Wisconsin, because that’s where I’m at right now – are going to get delayed, and this is for Republicans and Democrats: We’re talking about kids not getting food. And that should never happen. I don’t want to hear about ‘people are cheating the program’ and all that crap. A 6-year-old , 7-year-old kid is cheating nothing, and we are going to cheat the kids if we don’t take care of this. Our Republican and Democratic senators and the government have not done their jobs. The problem is the kids have to pay, and that’s ridiculous.” Doc Rivers said.

“Tell the 5 dems to vote yes its not rocket science” one fan said.

“Tell your democrat fans to pressure Democrats to vote YES to reopen.” Another fan said.

“Agreed @SenDuckworth, Wisconsin didn’t reelect you to cut close the federal government, not pay troops, and abruptly cut nutrition programs with no backup, alternative, phase out of altered incentive structure.” one more fan pointed out.

NBA Fans Feel Doc Rivers Should Not Talk About Politics

Surprisingly, many NBA fans also felt that Doc Rivers should not be talking about politics in the first place and should only stick to basketball. Perhaps many Bucks fans were incredibly upset after the team lost to the Kings lately when they made these comments about the team’s coach.

“Doc was hired to coach not talk politics. The Buck just lost to the Kings last night, Doc needs to focus on basketball.” one fan commented.

“Why is this coach talking about politics? His job is to coach the team. He should stay quit and focus on doing his job.” Another fan echoed.

“Basketball” another fan conveyed his message in a single word sentence.

At the same time, there were numerous who appreciated Doc Rivers for standing up for low-income households in the country, especially when the current administration is constantly threatening to pull back funds allotted to them.
