Taylor Rooks had NBA fans laughing before the NBA Cup final tip-off in Las Vegas, thanks to a hilarious story about the New York Knicks’ duo Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart.
On the panel alongside Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Udonis Haslem, and Blake Griffin, Rooks shared a message from Mikal Bridges. “Mika wanted to make sure I tell y’all they call Jalen Brunson ‘Dome-ian Lillard’ because of the size of his head,” Rooks said.
The nickname had the panel in stitches. Haslem replied, “That’s crazy,” Griffin added, “That’s too much,” and Nash reminded Rooks, “Taylor, it’s a global audience.” But once the story was out, fans quickly picked it up online.

@partywithmonte laughed, “Dome-time,” with emojis.

And @Lovebot10 praised Rooks’ delivery: “Let her cook.”
Jokes aside, Brunson, Hart, and the Knicks delivered on the court, defeating the San Antonio Spurs 124-113 to claim the NBA Cup.

@Magiks kept it simple: “Congratulations king.”
And @Smartek2050 fired back at critics: “Critics real quiet right now… Champion AND MVP says it all.”
Brunson capped the night with 25 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds, while OG Anunoby added 28 points to seal the Knicks’ first major trophy since 1999, when they won the Eastern Conference Finals.
For Knicks fans, the win was more than just a Cup—it was proof their team is back in the conversation as a contender, with Brunson at the heart of it all.
