One fan dove deeper on the topic, and highlighted that one of the purposes of playing sports is to have greater ambitions.
“I mean what’s wrong with a n***a having some ambition?” they said. “If you don’t think you’re going to be something what’s even the point of playing sports.”
In recent reports, Podziemski drew visible scorn from teammates after saying he wants to be better than Stephen Curry, a remark that reportedly prompted several players to roll their eyes and repeatedly reference his comment around the organization.
ESPN’s Anthony Slater reported on the news, and detailed Podziemski’s answer when asked if he wants to be as great as Curry.
“Podziemski made a number of comments in the lead-up to the season about his long-term career ambitions, including a news conference answer to a question about whether he wanted to be as great as Steph Curry,” Slater wrote. “Podziemski said he ‘wants to be better than him,’ an answer that elicited some eyerolls and continued references from several within the organization. Podziemski’s numbers are relatively stable from a season ago.”
The reaction surfaced amid a 6-6 start for the Warriors, a record that has heightened scrutiny of roles and commitment on a team with title expectations this season.

Another fan echoed the sentiment, highlighting how the goal seems to be too high a place to reach for most NBA players.
“The thing is, it’s too much fucking talking,” they said. “Just hoop n***a. Do you know how incredibly unlikely it is that you will be better than Steph Curry.”
As the NBA regular season progresses, NBA fans are eager to see if there will be any other breakout stars that would shock fans for the rest of the season.
